Educate Uganda's focus is to help orphaned children of Uganda with their school fees. Additionally, Educate Uganda is working to improve the very schools that these children attend. Educate Uganda focuses on children who have lost one or both of their parents. For the ONE MILLION children who have been orphaned by AIDS, the ability to attend school is often difficult due to the compulsory school fees. Educate Uganda is also working to improve the environment in which they learn and the materials the educators have available. Educate Uganda wants the schools we are working with to be a haven for the students.

The students we sponsor are from St. Kizito Nakatyaba Primary School and St. Gyaviira Nnyemerwa School. Both Schools take children through grade 7. $25 PER YEAR, will provide the mandatory school fees, a uniform and one meal each day. For many of the children, this may be only their second set of clothes and quite often the only meal this child receives. For your sponsorship, you will receive a picture of the child you are sponsoring, any available information on the child, and the joy of knowing that you are truly making a difference in the life of a child.

CHILD SELECTION PROCESS

Orphaned or needy children have been interview and photographed. Each child's photo includes his/her profile. Their grade level is also listed on the profile. If you choose to sponsor a child, Sponsorship runs through grade 7. An annual fee of $25 will be invoiced. At this time pre-payment is not an option.

An electronic invoice will come to your e-mail address once a year from this e-mail address - "Educate Uganda [karenvandyke@cox.net]" Please make sure this address is not blocked from your address book.

Example: Sponsored child is as Primary 1, they will be entering into school for Primary 2. So this year you would pay $25 for Primary 2. The $25 school fee would continue for the child until Primary 7 - Graduation!
